Rise 360 Module: Key Responsibilities of the ATD Deputy Coordinator

Overview

This Rise 360 module introduces the main responsibilities of the ATD San Diego Deputy Coordinator role and organizes the role into five clear areas: communication support, virtual session support, event preparation, participant experience, and documentation.

Purpose / Intended Audience

This module was designed for new or future Deputy Coordinators who need a clear, practical overview of the role, especially because the position includes several small support tasks that can feel unclear without an organized guide.

Process

I reviewed the recurring tasks connected to the Deputy Coordinator role, grouped them into five responsibility areas, and built a short self-paced module using brief explanations, flashcards, checklist-style reminders, and knowledge checks to make the content easier to review.

Outcome

The final module gives Deputy Coordinators a simple introduction to their responsibilities and practical support tasks, showing my ability to turn role information into a clear, organized, and learner-friendly onboarding experience.

Design Reflection

One challenge was organizing several Deputy Coordinator responsibilities completed at different stages of the mentorship program. I grouped the tasks into five responsibility areas and used short explanations, flashcards, checklists, and knowledge checks instead of presenting one long list. This reinforced the importance of chunking complex role information into practical guidance learners can review and apply.
